At Port Wine, you are welcome to stay in the newly built guest house, the original guesthouse, or in one of our two fales. Port Wine is situated in a one acre, lush and tropical garden.
Fale- SailoameSailoame is one of two new editions to Portwine. It is a perfect spot for family or friends.
Featuring a large queen bed and bunk beds, Sailoame has a private ensuite, aircon and a cool breezy veranda out the front. The veranda is a great spot to relax, overlooking the tropical garden. Sailoame has wheelchair access, with a ramp leading up to the fale. There is a private outdoor shower at the back, surrounded by the tropical trees and plants. |

Fale- LiaLia is a new edition to Port Wine. Designed and built by
Tai, this is an ideal spot for a private getaway for two.
Featuring a large queen bed and a single daybed, the fale houses a private ensuite, aircon and basic necessities (tea, coffee, water etc). The veranda out the front is an perfect spot to relax, with a great view of the tropical garden and a cool breeze. There is a private outdoor shower at the back, surrounded by the tropical trees and plants. |
Lakemba
The new guest house was designed and built by Port Wine's very own Tai.
The new guest house has four bedrooms, each with an ensuite. Each room features lead light lamp shades, also made by Tai. There is a long wrap around timber verandah where you can view local Tongan carvings and the luscious tropical garden. The heart of the house is a large shared kitchen, featuring a long wooden table and church pews. The kitchen includes a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, stove, cutlery, glasswear, crockery and cooking utensils and dishes. The shared living room is polished but comfortable, and shows off Tai's stain glass panels, other local Tongan tapa and artwork and photographs of our family and friends. The lush tropical garden features coconut trees, guava, mei (breadfruit), papaya, frangipani trees, heilala (Tonga’s national flower), tongapula, hibiscus, Australian bottle brush, birds of paradise, orchids, bananas, kava plants, giant taro, gardenia, mangoes, herbs, vegetables and more. |

Original Guest House - PortwineThe original guest house has four bedrooms. Two rooms have double beds and two rooms have two single beds.
There is a breezy verandah, where you can slow down, relax, and dip into your favourite book. The shared living room feels homely with pictures of our family and friends scattered around the place. The living room is furnished with a leather couch/sofa and two leather chairs. There’s a bookshelf and guests are welcome to borrow the books or donate used books. The large shared kitchen features a wooden dresser and a big wooden table. The kitchen includes a kettle, toaster, fridge, stove, cutlery, glasswear, crockery and cooking utensils and dishes. There is a clean, shared toilet and shower unit. Showers at the guest house are hot. Towels are provided upon request. |
